Welcome to our new website pleurasafe.com which is dedicated to present you our latest development: The Pleura-safe® safety thoracentesis kit. This new device makes it possible to perform a puncture of a human pleura (e.g. in the case of a contusion of the pleura). It defines a new and innovative standard for the treatment of pleural effusions, provides a easy handling for the operator and a maximum of safety for the patient.
Through the use of a veres needle on the catheter it is possible to derive and aspirate any liquid- and/or air-accumulations out of the human body antrum.
The implemented automatical 3-way-valve, for the derivation, avoids confusions with the connectors and provides a very easy handling.
